ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK POLICY AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION

The organization Nuova Rivetteria Bolognese S.r.L

  • is aware that a responsible economic strategy, aimed at environmental issues arising from its activities, is essential for its success and that of its Customers;
  • considers the health and safety of its employees and all those who, in various capacities, may be present in its facilities, such as suppliers, contractors, visitors, as essential values of its business;
  • also recognizes that the continuous improvement of its environmental and health and safety performance at work allows for significant commercial and economic advantages, also satisfying the expectations of environmental improvement relating to the socio-territorial context in which the Company operates;
  • therefore undertakes to pursue a policy of improving its environmental performance, reducing, when technically possible and economically sustainable, any pegative impact of its activities on the environment;
  • undertakes to produce an evolution and improvement of the management system for health and safety at work, providing for the consultation and participation of workers or their representatives in the most appropriate ways;
  • undertakes to maintain compliance with the laws and regulations in force in the environmental field as well as health and safety at work;

For this purpose, after having carried out an initial environmental analysis of the production activities, Nuova Rivetteria Bolognese s.r.1. has identified areas that require priority operation and sets the following objectives:

 

  • implement an Environmental Management System in order to satisfy all the requirements contained in UNI EN ISO 14001:2015;
  • implement a Workplace Health and Safety Management System in order to satisfy all the requirements contained in UNI EN ISO 45001:2018;
  • communicate to the public (suppliers and customers) the information necessary to understand the effects of the company's activities on the environment and on health and safety, using an open dialogue;
  • promote employee responsibility towards the protection of the environment and health and safety, and implement staff information and training programmes;
  • ensure that each collaborator maintains a high level of attention, motivation, training and professionalism on health and safety issues at work;
  • ensure cooperation with public authorities;
  • know the environmental and health and safety management of its suppliers
  • implement the actions necessary to prevent accidents and occupational diseases
  • whether it is possible to eliminate or minimize and communicate any potential risks relating to its products and activities;
  • evaluate the introduction into the business of products that have better envrronmental compatibility than those currently in use;
  • evaluate the environmental impacts of the plants in advance;
  • prevent and mitigate the impacts of its activities on the soil and groundwater, control and reduce the impacts on surface waters, control and reduce the production of polluting emissions into the atmosphere;
  • improve the management of waste produced, to focus on attention to dangerous waste;
  • take the necessary measures in order to reduce the related environmental impacts and emergency situations;
  • control the consumption of water resources, control the quantity and type of raw materials and finished products for the correct definition of environmental indicators;
  • establish objectives in order to improve health and safety aspects at work and make available the resources necessary to achieve them;
  • make this policy available to everyone, internal and external to the company, so that everyone is aware of the commitment undertaken by the company and of their obligations regarding health and safety at work;
